By now, we’ve stayed at our fair share of campgrounds, boondocking spots, and even casinos. We think we have a pretty good idea about what makes a good one and what makes a bad one. Wolf Creek Park in Wolf Creek, Oregon, definitely fits in the latter category.

One thing we learned as we traveled up the west coast was that with the lack of public lands came a lack of public dump and fill stations for RVs. The main reason we chose to stop at this campground was to use their dump station. A dump station that we only learned was decommissioned due to “abuse by the locals” when we tried to use it. There is no update on their website with this information. All the RV sites have 30-amp power and water, though.

Other than the lack of a dump, the location was pretty tight, well shaded, and peaceful. The site we were in was far from level. We wouldn’t recommend staying here long, mostly due to the lack of dump facilities. If you’re a local looking for a decent car-camping location, however, Wolf Creek Park may be a nice fit.
