On a little vacation from our stay at Resaca de la Palma State Park, we took a little side trip to Lake Casa Blanca State Park in Laredo, TX. This sprawling park, just outside of Laredo, Texas, is wrapped around the south end of Lake Casa Blanca. It hosts a small network of hiking and biking trails, as well as tons of day-use areas for fishing, swimming, boating, and more!

Available RV amenities include water, power with 50A, 30A, and 20A receptacles, and an easy-to-access dump station. Our spot only cost $20 a night, and they have spots with sewer hookups for a little bit more.

Lake Quitman West Dispersed Camping was a great place to cool our heels for a bit and recover from a simply horrible cold that was going around the bus. Located 20 minutes or so outside of the town of Lake Quitman, it’s a little off the beaten path, but not so much as to be inaccessible.
