Another stop on our run south from the Sugar Beat Harvest. The Dancing Bee Honey Farm and Winery is a member of the Boondocker’s Welcome network of free camping sites across the US. It is located in Rodgers, TX, just off Highway 190. As for a campsite, it’s not much, just a gravel lot with lots of sunlight for solar. Adjacent to the railroad and highway, it can be a little noisy, but you can’t beat the price!

Dancing Bee Winery and Walker Honey Farm made a great stop

The Winery is an adorable shop that sells its own wines, meads, melomels, and metheglins. We purchased a bottle of their Blackberry Metheglen and it was divine! Not too sweet with an outstanding balance of berry flavors and honey notes.

The kids had a lot of fun playing on a dirt pile that was next to the bus, so I guess the spot wasn’t too bland!

Dancing Bee Winery is also part of Harvest Hosts (now connected with Boondockers Welcome, but they’re still two different networks and memberships) and hipcamp.

Being between two cities, it really is conveniently placed for a resupply, rest, and laundry stop. Keep it in mind if you find yourself in the area and want a quick stop!
