While Staying at Lake Casa Blanca State Park, we took some time to explore Laredo, Texas. One of our stops was the Imaginarium inside the Mall del Norte. The kids have explored many museums and play spaces, and came here with high hopes. The Imaginarium of Laredo, Texas had a very limited footprint compared to other places we’ve visited, though that’s not surprising as it was located in a mall.
While we were at Jauqes Rolling Wheels DIY, we had an opportunity to explore a lot of the local area. One of the gems we found was the Route 66 Museum in Lebanon. The museum is located inside the Lebanon Library, and while small, was fascinating, and most importantly, FREE! This family-friendly Halloween event was hosted by the local medical group Jordan Valley Community Health at the spacious Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park in Springfield, Missouri. We stayed for a few nights in Harlan, Iowa on our sprint from winter following the sugar beet harvest. This was a Boondockers Welcome spot, so it wasn’t a camping spot, but a parking spot that someone lent us for the night. Typically, Boondockers Welcome is just that, boondocking, but the individual we were staying with had some water for us (we hadn’t been able to fill up before arriving)
