While camping in the Dixie National Forest outside of Bryce Canyon National Park, we took a side trip one day to Bryce Wildlife Adventure. It was a truly unique experience! If you’ve ever been to a Cabela’s sporting goods store or a Bass Pro Shop, you may be familiar with the “Dead Zoo” experience. Bryce Wildlife Adventure takes this to the next level and we mean that in a good

While visiting the Historic Triangle of Virginia, we had the opportunity to visit many museums in addition to historic sites. One such museum was the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News. This was another opportunity brought to us by the local homeschool community, the other being our tour of the Berkeley Plantation. Even better, we got in free thanks to The Boy’s EAA membership and ASTC reciprocal benefits! The Virginia

While staying in Virginia, we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to tour our nation’s capital! So while staying at the Pohick Bay Regional Campground, we made several trips across the Potomac into DC. On our first trip, we checked out the Monuments and Memorials of Washington DC. While we stayed at Jacques Rolling Wheels DIY, we had the opportunity to explore the region. One trip we made was utilizing our AZA membership and touring the Dickerson Zoo in Springfield, MO. This amazing zoo is more than just a zoo. Dickerson zoo hosts a number of classes and outreach programs, an animal hospital, and even a raptor rehabilitation center. Of course, This is still primarily a zoo with

Before the beet harvest started, we were able to take a side trip into Fargo, ND. We visited the Red River Zoo! While there, we signed up for their zoo membership. Mom did her homework and knew that this was a good zoo to join. Not only is it a cheaper membership – only $80/year – but it gets us into many AZA zoos completely free!  This has been the
