In a previous post I wrote in depth about our Separett RV Toilet. However, that’s not the only thing we love in our bus’s bathroom. Here is a list of our favorite bathroom accessories, and why they’ve earned a place on this list!

Toothbrush organizer
This toothbrush organizer has been a godsend. Not only does it hold toothbrushes securely on drive days, but the way the included cups attach to the rack also protects them from wayward spitting, splashing, and other yuck. We don’t use the toothpaste dispenser, as we make our own toothpaste. The cosmetics shelf holds our jars of toothpaste perfectly! We also love that everyone has their own miniature cubby in the back for combs, deodorant, and the like.
Dehumidifier
We got this little guy originally for the whole bus, but after mom did some more reading learned that we’d want a much more powerful unit for that. Since we had this one, we decided to keep it. We run it 24/7 in the bathroom since that’s where a lot of humidity is generated. This little unit does a decent job of keeping the room dry, and hardly uses any energy to do it.
Baskets!
Before we launched, Mom was a bit of an herbalist. She concocted many lotions, potions, and remedies from the local plants found in the Pacific Northwest. Many were grown in our own yard. When we launched, she had squirreled away as much as she could as I mentioned before. These have allowed us to keep them out and ready to use!
Low-flow shower head
We like to boondock, which means we need to be wise with water use. This showerhead has been fantastic for helping with that. While daily showers aren’t a thing, when we do take one, we have good pressure without killing our water reserves or burning a ton of propane to heat it. Nothing beats a hot shower when you really need one.
Bath wipes
Hygiene is important. And sometimes a whole shower isn’t feasible, like when you’re boondocking and you really want to clean up, but already showered the day before and can’t afford to use the water. These bath wipes are great for those “between the shower” cleanses. They do a great job and don’t leave any residue!
A mirror

We found this adorable little mirror in a thrift store somewhere in Montana. It’s the perfect size for our small space and safely rides on the bed on travel days. If we were big on makeup we would probably need something a little bigger, but for quick hair checks and face washes it’s perfect!
Separett Composting Toilet
We absolutely love our Separett Villa toilet. As discussed in our general post about RV toilets, and again in our post specifically about the Separett, this toilet is a breeze to maintain and clean. It’s handled everything from Constipation to “rapid evacuation” without losing a step. If we ever decide to homestead again, we may very well forgo wet toilets entirely for this environmentally and user-friendly alternative.
Overall, we’ve been loving the mobile lifestyle and look forward to sharing much more of our favorite things with you! Stay tuned!
